Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences presents a dynamic series of free guest performances for the community at the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center in Duke Hall of Citizenship. From bluegrass and jazz to classical, folk, and contemporary artists, these performances bring talented musicians from across the region and beyond to our campus, creating memorable cultural experiences for audiences of all ages.

Celebrate the music and legacy of jazz legend Miles Davis with an evening of exceptional live music featuring the internationally acclaimed Bloom/Funkhouser Duo. Flutist Peter H. Bloom and pianist John Funkhouser will perform iconic Miles Davis compositions, including Donna Lee, Four, and Flamenco Sketches, along with beloved jazz standards closely associated with one of the most influential musicians in history.
Performing together for more than 30 years, Bloom and Funkhouser have earned international acclaim for their dynamic performances, artistry, and innovative interpretations. Their LMU appearance is part of a special tour celebrating the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis's birth.
